Some of the most rewarding pieces I make are the smallest. Hand lettered greetings cards, framed quotes and keepsakes made for one person and one moment, written with brush pens, ink and a good deal of thought about the words.

Made to order

• Birthday cards lettered with the name, the age or the private joke, rather than picked off a rack
• Anniversary and milestone cards in gold, silver or metallic ink for the years that deserve them
• New baby and christening keepsakes with names, dates and a little illustration
• Wedding and engagement cards that can be made to match stationery I have already lettered

Choosing the words

The words matter more than the flourishes. If you know what you want to say, send it over. If you do not, tell me about the person and I will suggest a few lines that fit the space and the occasion.

Every piece is hand lettered on quality card or watercolour paper, so no two are identical. Small variations in a stroke are the point rather than a flaw. Colour does a great deal of the work here, and there is more on how colour changes the way lettering feels in the journal.

Ordering and posting

Single cards usually take a few days, framed pieces a little longer. Everything is posted carefully packed anywhere in the UK, and I am happy to write a message inside and send it straight to the recipient.
